Afra Group ventured into vehicle importation and distribution in Iran with Volvo passenger cars in 2011 (trading through the subsidiary company, Afra Motor) with 3 wholly owned showrooms and an industry standard service and repair facility in Tehran, plus a series of sales and service sub-dealers across the country.
After nearly 30 years of being absent from Iran, Afra achieved full homologation and importation of the several Volvo models including the C30, C70, V40, XC60 and XC90 and customers in Iran continue to enjoy unparalleled levels of sales and aftersales support.

In 2015, Afra Group (trading through the subsidiary company llia Motor International) was granted exclusive representation rights to Lotus Cars in Iran and started operating with a Lotus showroom in a prestigious part of Northern Tehran and high-end aftersales facility on the outskirts of the city.
Lotus is the first international OEM to officially appoint a representative in Iran in recent years. Afra Group is also the first to achieve full homologation and in-market compliance in Iran for an internationally acclaimed brand with products in the prestige/sports/luxury automotive sector.

In late 2016 and after a lengthy tender process, Afra Group was granted the exclusive importation and distribution rights for MOTUL Automotive oil and Lubricant products in Iran (trading through the subsidiary company, Global Motor). After a successful launch event and marketing campaign, MOTUL has seen significant sales supported by Global Motor appointing a sales network across Iran.
